What is the aim or goal of your writing:
2nd ed. says, "My forebears came via covered wagon from upper New York State in 1836 and settled in Livingston County, south of Howell, where some of the Chubb farm still remains in the family. The Swarthouts followed the same path in the same year and settled northeast of Pinckney. 'Swarthout Road' there is named after them. My great grandfather, Ephraim B. Chubb, served in the 10th Michigan Calvary, company K, during the Civil War, seeing action in Kentucky and Tennessee."
