What is the aim or goal of your writing:
2nd ed., says "I grew up in northern Michigan. Both my mother's and father's families were farm families from Osceola and Mecosta counties. I grew up within that framework. It's whatever you get your juice from, your ideas from. My ideas seem to be rural in nature." Harrison lives with his family on a farm in northern Michigan where he does his writing in an old grainary on the property."
He is known for his lyrical treatment of the human struggle between nature and domesticity.
