What is the aim or goal of your writing:
2nd ed. says, " I have been writing poetry since I was 15. Gradually I discovered that for my taste the best poetry is fictional rather than non-fictional, is sense-oriented rather than intellectual, tends to be mind-association (or a pseudo stream of consciousness) rather than the seemingly deliberate image-block business. Lastly, poetry that contains certain facets of Romanticism interest me, poetry that deals with such stuff as the individual, the dare, the dream/fantasy, the hope/future, etc. And this is what I try to do in my work."
As a rule, four times a year he heads up to a cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for extended stays.
