What is the aim or goal of your writing:
2nd ed. says, "Writers of books for young readers have more of a responsibility to their readers than do writers of adult novels, it seems to me. One writes to communicate, to share ideas, to help the young reader identify himself in values, decisions, and relationships to other people as well as to entertain. A sense of humor adds brightness to life and helps us not to take ourselves too seriously. I feel a personal identity with the protagonists in my stories, and although they are fictitious personalities, they seem very real to me. I hope these characters seem real to the young readers."
CA says, "I feel an obligation toward youth since a former seventh and eigthth grade teacher by the name of Mrs. Althea Crippen did so much to encourage and guide me as a neophyte writer. I only hope that in my way, I can inspire and guide other young people as a writer and as a teacher."
