What is the aim or goal of your writing: It is because I tell stories that I like to write. Having been the recipient of stories, some of which go back more than a century, I feel that I am a receptacle of experiences and wisdom that can be given new life and a wider audience through my writing. Just finishing my first novel, "Shaken Earth", I count as a success even if it never becomes a best-seller. I advise writers and would-be writers to be persistent, take advice, and be true to whatever muse they have. I have written political reports for the federal government and hundreds of online news articles for decades. But the hardest task I have faced in writing was in crafting fiction. Despite the difficulty, I will press on.

May inquiries be sent to you about doing workshops, readings: Yes
I am willing to speak to small groups about the subject matter that I write about: namely, Latin America and its relationship with the United States.
