What is the aim or goal of your writing:
My husband and I purchased the lodge (where the campers of Camp Maqua dined) in 1987 as a summer home for our family. I felt the walls talked to me from the minute I entered the historical 1924 building with all the memorabilia still left on the walls. Women kept stopping to see if the camp was still there, but it had closed in 1978. I began collecting the stories of over 300 women, beginning in 2011, and began writing them as part two of the history of the camp in bi-weekly stories in my blog www.girlsofcampmaqua.com. My interests have always centered on life stories, as I have journalled my life and the lives of my four children. My success may be attributed to my interest in people, especially women's stories, and the lives they have led, fueled by my passion for writing.
