What is the aim or goal of your writing: It was said, " the romantic in Comfort was always tending to crowd out the realist, and increasingly so as he grew older. " Arnold Mulder, Michigan History, September, 1951. His first successful novel, a somehat loosely constructed story of adventure and diplomatic intrigue, entitled 'Routledge Rides Alone', was published in 1910. It was so unflattering a picture of the glories of war that peace societies are said to have used it as propaganda.
