What is the aim or goal of your writing:
"My success as a writer may be in part a result of my musician's ear. I find writing for children to be a very musical experience. In fact, I think the best writing of any kind has a certain rhythm to it. The other factor is likely my fascination with wordplay. The great children's writers of my life (Seuss and Silverstein heading the list) succeeded largely because they created stories for which the reading itself was an experience, an entertainment. I hope that's a hallmark of my work as well."
May inquiries be sent to you about doing workshops, readings: Yes
"While my career as a journalist severely limits my ability to do as many workshops and conferences as I'd like, we somehow manage to fit quite a few into each year."
