What is the aim or goal of your writing: 2nd ed. says, "At age 13, Alida was writing for the school newspaper and doing her own illustrating. In 1910 the family moved West, and Alida entered art school in San Francisco. She spent much time in New Mexico drawing the beauty of the West. She traveled extensively in Europe and the Americas." Her interest in archaeology let her to visit the Mayan ruins of Yucatan and the pre-Incan and Incan ruins of Peru.

2nd ed. says, that she was born in 1895 and SSDI says in 1888 and Contemporary Authors says 1899. The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction confirms the 1888 date which we are using here.
