What is the aim or goal of your writing: I am now retired--Professor Emeritus--after more than forty years of teaching. I am now 81 years of age--but I hope to live long enough to write two more volumes relating to the life of the Vermont girl and her adventures in two more wars. 2nd ed. says, " I enjoy teaching and writing Michigan history. I believe that a person is especially fortunate to be able to tie an avocation to vocation. Over the years, I have probably promoted Michigan by means of the classroom to approximately 15,000 students. This is my 41st year of teaching--and I hope to do several more."
