What is the aim or goal of your writing: In an interview written by Ms. Bernhardt for the Green Bay Press Gazette Mr. Hill commented: "History has always been one of my weak points...to combine ideas and express them on paper for the information and enjoyment of others is one of the most satisfying of all hobbies." Adding further, "It was in the early thirties that my interest in history flowered. In time, as the notes and information accumulated, I was struck with the idea of how important it is to learn about local history and the activities of our forebearers and then to compile the material into somewhat chronological order." Ms. Bernhardt adds that information by Hill mounted for over twenty years and ultimately led toThe History of Iron County.
