What is the aim or goal of your writing:
I find the creative process endlessly fascinating. Much of my best work comes up from a subconscious or pre-conscious part of myself. I have had to learn, though, to turn off that side of my brain that wants to analyze and critique each word as it appears. To let that other part of my being begin to flow out. There is a time for the "editor" but a creative writer has to work at keeping that part of themselves in its place! What success I have had comes largely from discipline, and a dogged insistence that I have something to say. Writing is a craft. It takes years to begin to master. I have been willing, and able to put in that time.
