What is the aim or goal of your writing: In the 2nd Edition of Michigan Authors he is credited with: "Broadly speaking, my poems deal with the impossibility of maintaining human relationships. For example, in a series of poems ("Searching for Love") two people (let's call them husband and wife) are continually visited by a third who turns out to be the force that either pushes them apart or pulls them back together. In fact, this third person may not even be a separate identity but rather a part of each of them experiencing change. Sometimes we find a reconciliation, sometimes not. If not, we find characters in reclusion sorting out their lives. If so, we find a new set of rules by which to live, at least for a little while."
