What is the aim or goal of your writing:
"In writing: To create art with words; to discover fresh perspectives; to inform my readers of the constantly changing landscape; to catalogue and define the who, what, why and where around us; to infuse readers with enthusiasm for the art of language; to redefine language; to raise the insignificant to the level of the sublime. In teaching: To direct adult students to approach language as art, to acknowledge the emotive and connotative forces of words, and to help them utilize those forces within their own voice; to acquaint elementary students with the possibilities in poems and to help them write poems; to expand middle and high school students' awareness of the strategies of poetry and to help them write poems."
