What is the aim or goal of your writing:
My books have been relatively successful because they assume that the readership is intelligent, curious about other cultures and perspectives, and empathetic with flawed, realistic characters. The basic premise in my books and life is that in everything serious, there is something funny; and in everything funny, there is something serious.
My work ethic is a disciplined one when I am 'on'. I write in the mornings and I always rewrite what I wrote the day before.
May inquiries be sent to you about doing workshops, readings: Yes
I am available in Michigan in the summertime for workshops, etc.
