What is the aim or goal of your writing: I attribute my success to the fact that I persevered and did not allow rejection to discourage me. I am also immensely grateful for the teachers, mentors and editors I have known who encouraged me and my work. I have a very strict work ethic. I believe, especially in journalism, in maintaining high integrity and working always to write the truth, with an awareness that doing less could cause harm to both the subject of the writing, the publication, and myself. I am a strong believer in the need for re-writing and fine-tuning. I believe that in writing fiction, an awareness must be made to "higher" truths and that fiction should, in the long run, edify the reader. I believe in writing as a way of life, and can't imagine not doing it.
