What is the aim or goal of your writing: 3rd. ed. says, "I wanted the country to see the heart and soul of the poor hard working immigrant Finns who carved homes out of the U.P. wilderness, and because I was a little fed up with always reading about some rich famous high-nose cultured educated mogul. I wanted others to see that we weren't dumb stupid and ignorant just because we lived far back in the woods. And we did have loads of fun between hard work! It's exactly why I am back here after living all over the country for almost 40 years." 2nd ed. says, "I am a frustrated song writer. I know that I am a much better composer and lyricist than I am an author--then how come my books sell and I don't get anywehre with my songs? I have had poetry published since I was 14 and painted portraits for some years. Now I do my own cartoons to illustrate my stories. I used to sing publicly with my own guitar but I now sing at home and bang my 12 string. I spend my spare time hiking and back packing in the woods--love-love-love animals and nature. As far as my simply country philosphy goes, I believe that each human individual should have rights--equally, no matter how poor and lowly, no matter how great and powerful. Both have their own purpose in this world; we all have equal value in the scheme of things. I believe that there is a purpose to every living thing on the earth. We are woven together in a vast, intricate network of relationships but I think or believe that man has thrown a monkey wrench into this system and sometimes I wonder if it will ever run smoothly again??? I'm not a fatalist, just a realist who is also an idealist."
