What is the aim or goal of your writing: "Teaching in a day care center was living with children during most of their waking hours. To be trusted by children is the greatest compliment. It has to be earned. It is forever. In return for that I made up stories for them which eventually became words on paper and, behold, I was an author. I presume every author views the happenings about him as story material. Here discrimination must play a part. A half-hearted effort has no place in literature. I am alarmed by the current trend of mass production of books for childrem. Why cannot there be a place for the special book to meet the needs of a child who hears a different drummer? Why? Too expensive. What pity."
