What is the aim or goal of your writing: I write because I love local history. I have been successful because people enjoy reading what I write and tourists enjoy learning about our mining towns. I not only do the history, but walk the areas I write about and tell where to find them, and show photos of them today.

- I am currently doing my writing in retirement. Previous to that I taught public school and two college courses at a secondary and adult level. I am also an ordained United Methodist Pastor and served from 1963 to 1991 in United Methodist churches in Ohio and West Virginia.
