What is the aim or goal of your writing: The goal of my writing is to capture and communicate both the majesty of the natural world and the work done to protect it in Michigan and across the Great Lakes region. I hope that by telling stories about special places and the battles to conserve them, I can record important history and inspire new advocates. I also enjoy writing about seminal historical figures in Michigan's history and about the writers whose Michigan connections helped shape their art or journalism.
