What is the aim or goal of your writing: I began playing drums in my dad's band in bars when I was 14. That may have a lot to do with my mixing creativity with the seamy dark side of human experience in my writing. I spent many hours alone as a child, walking dark alleys, cemeteries at midnight, through rain, wind and wild storms with my loyal dog, listened to the moan of train whistles as I lay in my bed, filled with sleepless disturbing dreams. I gravitated to Alfred Hitchcock, Rod Serling, Hammer Films of vampires and their bosomy innocent victims or mad blood-lusting countesses. Writers who drew my attention ranged from Wild Willy Shakespeare, William Faulkner, Thomas Wolfe, Jack Kerouac, Robert Silverberg, Harlan Ellison to my current favorites, James Lee Burke and Carol O'Connell. Well, I'm a writer and a musician. If you read any of my novels or short stories, that's pretty evident! Other interests: my family, my li'l doggies, doing what I can to save the American wolves and what little is left of a viable natural environment in this county!
