What is the aim or goal of your writing:
I photograph for many reasons. To create beautiful images, to capture moments in time, to tell stories visually. In many ways I feel like I am a visual historian trying to capture the time I live in both on a personal level and on a more broad societal or worldly level. I enjoy the reporting and story telling as well as the artistic aspects of what I do. I enjoy the wide range of people and situations I experience. I suppose I am successful because of my perseverance. I keep working at it. I try to make better pictures in any situation I photograph and hope that my photographs in some way touch viewers.
