What is the aim or goal of your writing:
In the 2nd edition of Michigan Authors, her daughter, Phyllis, is credited with saying "She loved gardening. She had an artist's keen observation and delight in minute detail of form, color, and design in anything she encountered." "She started writing and illustrating her stories as soon as she could hold a pencil. By the time she was 15 she had stories published in various Sunday School papers and in Waverly's Magazine. At the age of sixteen, she responded to an advertisement in the Mining Journal seeking a bright boy to do reporting. Her response was that while she wasn't a boy, she was almost sure she was bright. She got the job and worked for the paper as their Society Editor. Also during this period before her marriage she gave drawing and painting lessons to private pupils."
