What is the aim or goal of your writing: The goal of my historical research and publications is to bring women's history to general readers, to educators, and to scholars in women's history and the history of education. My publications about historical literature for children are aimed at teachers, librarians and parents for the purpose of utilizing this rich literature to enhance children's understanding of the history of the United States. I write about realistic historical fiction for children and young adults set in the United States, from its beginnings to and including the 20th and 21st centuries.
