What is the aim or goal of your writing:
In the 1964 edition he said, "Teachers and professors at Mt. Pleasant and Ann Arbor gave me opportunity to explore further--and in my teaching experience in Michigan, children helped me to see how important a study of the natural and physical world can be in their lives."
In the 1980 edition of Michigan Authors he is credited with "My initial feeling about natural science developed when I was a small boy living in Montcalm, Michigan. My personal and professional roots are in Michigan. The Tree on the Road to Turntown is a Michigan Oak. I am an environmentalist and ecologist, and these had their beginning when I attended college and the University of Michigan."
