What is the aim or goal of your writing:
"The desire to document the lives of the largely unsung men and women--first in my home county in Michigan, then in Ohio and finally in New York City. Oral history has been one of the major tools along with a bit of diplomacy and politics. I have wanted to celebrate the fact that ordinary people were able to express their rights in free speech and assembly on this spot." (Union Square quote) "Proud of my own working-class roots--with a 'Bulldog' tenacity to give ordinary people their proper place in historical records."
