What is the aim or goal of your writing: Even in grade school, when I was writing my own TV episodes of "Batman" to share with classmates and friends, I knew that telling stories was an activity I enjoyed. After 30 years as an award-winning journalist, I was blessed with the opportunity to write my own true-crime book, as well as the screenplay for the feature film of the same title, An Ordinary Killer (Based on a True Story). My next project, due out in 2010, is the documentary film, "Outside the Wire: The Forgotten Children of Afghanistan." There will be a book of photographs of the same title.

Absolutely! I enjoy doing public presentations and have conducted many, whether at libraries, schools, civic clubs or private gatherings. The most popular have been speaking/presentations about Afghanistan and the role the U.S. is playing in stabilizing that war-torn country, as well as what it took to research and write An Ordinary Killer (which is heavy on today's popular genre of forensic evidence and criminal psychological profiling).
