What is the aim or goal of your writing:
My work ethic is that I am not a writer unless I am writing. I am not nearly as interested in publication and fame as I am in getting the work right. My success in writing is tied to my success in teaching, for which I have received many awards. I live what I teach which is what I am: a writer. I was raised by my grandparents and incorporated the values of generations much earlier than my own. I am grateful for the discipline I was taught as a child."
