What is the aim or goal of your writing: "I write because I'm a writer. I've written ever since I was a boy, though didn't seek publication until 1981. As a boy mock-dialogue would run through my head, like baseball plays did for other boys. Writing is a catharsis. It keeps my thinking sharp, makes me learn and listen to myself. Writing frees me to grab the fleeting muse and capture it with black letters on white pages. Concretely I aim to become the best writer that I can be. Therefore I write several types of material; magazine articles, short stories, articles, greeting cards, satire and humor pieces. To get better I must write, so I seek 'assignments' from magazines to force me to keep constantly writing. Ultimately, I seek to write several books including some on Christian ministry, fishing, outdoors, falconry, specific Michigan rivers, and some historical novels (one story-line is about the St. Marys Rapids area in Sault Ste. Marie)."
