What is the aim or goal of your writing:
After so many years of teaching my students in prison, and as I watched mass incarceration happen in my classroom with more and more young black men being imprisoned, I wanted to give people a realistic view of who our citizens are behind bars when given a chance to discover their own goodness and competence in the process of earning a high school diploma.
