What is the aim or goal of your writing: The main thing I can attribute to the success of my books is being willing to listen to successful businessmen and their advice. One such man told me, "John, be willing to sell one or two books to a business with the same attitude that you would sell one or two dozen books." I also have always been willing to take suggestions as to places to check out. But the real key to my success is the fact that so many people like my books and the "clean", family-style humor that I use in my writing.
