What is the aim or goal of your writing:
2nd ed. says, " Dirk was a romantic and lived each book he wrote and illustrated. He loved history, particularly Michigan history. It was his desire that both children and adults could know some of their heritage and enjoy it. The past for Dirk was always a very alive and exciting time. Dirk was also an authority on American and French and British revolutionary uniforms. In addition, he did the murals for Fort Mackinac and Fort Michillimackinac as well as the mural for the East Lansing Library."
