What is the aim or goal of your writing: My editor feels that my success is primarily due to two things. First, I was persistent. Wayne State University Press had not previously published a children's picture book and I was able to convince them that my book was worthwhile and that it fit their marketing niche. Secondly, I was just a little lucky that I found an editor who was willing to work with me on this project.
