What is the aim or goal of your writing:
2nd ed. says, "Experiencing the northern winter for the first time was a catalyst for my poetry writing, which started as an occasional pursuit and became serious in 1972. My creative energy still peaks during the winter months. Writing poetry is a means to balance intellect with emotion in an imaginative framework and to envelop statement through carefully selected images. A sidelight: I have combined my musical training with writing to produce a recital of poems and piano music that reflect each other; this program has been given several public performances along with the standard poetry reading."
Now having been initiated to poetry writing, my creative energy may spring [up] at any time-any season-as a poignant moment or memory nags to be recognized and crystallized as a poem.
