What is the aim or goal of your writing: I'm not quite sure what success is. If it's having a lot of money in the bank from writing, I'm a long way off from success. if success is beging able to make a living doing what you love to do--write--then I've achieved that portion of success. The important thing is to be able to write, get published and get paid. When I went back into writing after 25 years in marketing, I decided writing was going to be a business, not a hobby. I wrote expecting to get paid for my work, not hoping someone would like it. Today, you can't just be a good writer to succeed. You have to be good at marketing yourself and your writing. For any aspiring writer, take this advice. Find a market that wants to buy your writing, then write. I once did work for a box company. I created the words "This end up" and got paid for it. Simply put, know your market and write for it.
