What is the aim or goal of your writing: "My goal is not to be the best writer in my field, but to be an interesting writer...one who targets and involves the historian, hunter, or wildlife enthusiast. Due to reader response, I have achieved my goal. Under the classification of "Outdoor Writer," only eight percent are women. I am pleased to have earned the respect of my male counterparts. Having started my career at age 53, I am proud of my progress. Along the way, two editors and a journalist afforded assistance and encouragement and in return, I do my utmost to help new people entering the profession."
