What is the aim or goal of your writing: 1st ed. says, " Of her father, she says, My father was a volunteer in the infantry from Northern Illinois, and could have stayed on as captain. He was in Sherman's March to the Sea. Perhaps this accounts in part for her lively interest in America. In 1902, she was married in Colorado and moved to Salt Lake City the next year. In 1910 they went to Marquette, Michigan. Here her husband was head of the mathematics department for 33 years. Spooner Hall at Northern Michigan University is named for him. Mrs. Spooner's books draw on letters, diaries, and logbooks. Many are family accounts handed down to her."
