What is the aim or goal of your writing: 2nd ed. says, "Music was my first love. I played and taught piano, and composed several songs. My first poems were published at age fifteen by Grand Ledge County and State newspapers. I did not begin a serious study of poetry until, as a widow, I had moved to Lansing, and there joined the Lansing Poetry Club; where the friendly criticism was most helpful. I do believe that 'love is the heart of every Christian grace'-as I said in my poem 'Charity'."
