1st ed says, "He was one of fourteen children of an Upper Peninsula pioneer family. The background of Mr. Reimann's books covers many fascinating incidents in the early history of Michigan. There are stories dealing with pioneer towns; lumbering; fish; game; and law enforecement; saints and sinners." 2nd ed says, Mr. Reimann was best known at the University of Michigan as an athlete where he was tackle on the Fielding Yost's "Point-a-Minute" football team, 1914-15; and Big Ten Wrestling Champion, heavyweight division, 1916."
