What is the aim or goal of your writing: I have 3 x 5 cards on both my refrigerator and home office door which read "Don't Stop!" I have a certain "nervous energy," and I am lousy at sitting still for very long. It's a blessing and a curse. But I find that if I just keep pushing forward, eventually things come together. I try to write every day, and with my last book, I was on a deadline, so I stayed with it. I wrote as much as twelve hours on some days, on others maybe two or three. Consistency keeps the project in your head. I also like to keep my life organized and fairly simple, so that I can give my fullest attention to whatever I'm doing at the moment. My wife is very supportive, and that's a big help.
