What is the aim or goal of your writing: 2nd ed. says, "People are usually suprised when they find my interests are children's literature, pre-school education and gerontology. For me, the three fit together very comfortably. Juvenile books and children were my first loves. Now, I am interested in seeing how the elderly are depicted in children's books and am committed to including positive images of old people in my own writing. Children's confusion about 'old' partly inspired 'Some People Are Old'. Mother and daddy are old, big sister is old--what are they to think about grandparents and great grandparents?"
