What is the aim or goal of your writing:
2nd ed. says, "I try to set my novels in places we have lived or places where we like to vacation. I write my stories in spiral notebooks with either a pencil or pen. I mark dates on the manuscript to show how much I have written a certain day. These orginal manuscripts can be seen in the Detroit Women Writers collection in the Burton Historical Society Room of the main Detroit Public Library. "I lived in Michigan for six years and all the books listed above (first 6) were written during that time except Walkie-Talkie, which was begun in Michigan and finished when we moved here to Wisconsin. My creative writing teacher was Mr. Lawrence Hart of San Rafael, California."
She told Contemporary Authors, "What I hope to accomplish as a writer: In the theater, I hope to create wonderful roles for women, roles where actresses can use their talents. In my stories for young people, I hope to please my readers. I hope I never bore them. I hope my stories make them laugh and/or cry and/or think but mostly I hope they laugh."
