What is the aim or goal of your writing: 2nd ed. says, "My writing deals very much in every day subjects and the common American landscape, including freeways and shopping centers, the life of the family and the natural world as it appears to us, busy within the structures of our own human encampment; I think my poetry offers images which are quite recognizable and accessible." Contemporary Authors says, "It is important to me that since the birth of our first child I've consistently been able to combine childrearing with my graduate school, teaching, and writing career. I suppport the current women's liberation movement...I'm an amateur photographer, doing my own darkroom work."
